Ch-ch-ch-changes

I currently have no new photos of myself to share. Mawmaw stole the camera and we have been unable to upload anything for quite a while. My life has been quite busy as usual. I am growing like a weed and learning new things every day. Wednesday I met a new friend. Her name is Christiana, and she was born on May 23. Although she was nearly a pound larger than I was when I was born, she looked so tiny. Mommy says she already cannot even remember my being that small! Though I won't have an official check up until I am 4 months old, mommy estimates I am between 14 and 15 pounds and definitely over 2 foot tall. I have become quite a smiley baby, and the more I smile and talk, the more I drool! Mom and dad keep a burp cloth by me at all times, and I still drool all over myself and both of them too. They don't seem to mind too much though. My legs are incredibly strong, and I love to stand. Within the past week, I have begin to discover my feet while lying down. I can reach all the way down to my feet with my hands and pull them all the way up to my head. Mommy thinks they will end up in my mouth soon, but I'm not sure what she is talking about quite yet. I discovered my hands a long time ago. I love to suck on my fingers and even try to fit my whole fist in my mouth. I have lots of neat toys which mom and dad always try to make me reach. They keep toys on my carseat so I can grab them even in the car. I flail my arms and bat at the toys readily, and occasionally I grasp and pull on them too. I demand an awful lot of attention, and I am very good at noticing when people stop talking to me and start talking to other people. I have even begun to "hit" and "kick" people if they are close enough to me and not paying me enough attention. It works every time! I absolutely love for people to talk to me, and if they give me the opportunity I will always join in the conversation. My favorite word is "daddy." I always smile very big when anybody talks about my daddy. I also love to hear my daddy's voice. Sometimes when he is at work I miss him, and mommy lets me talk to him on her phone. My daddy tells me he loves me, and I smile and talk to him. I'm not so sure about this phone thing though. It confuses me to hear his voice and not be able to see him anywhere. Today for the very first time I went swimming. Pawpaw and mawmaw opened their pool last week, and today mommy put my new swimsuit on me and took me for a swim. I wasn't really sure what was going on, but the water was pretty relaxing. I just closed my eyes and enjoyed myself. Once mommy dipped my hair in the water though, and that scared me! I love my baths, and I love being outside even more. This thing mommy calls a swimming pool was like a gigantic outdoor bathtub. I think I liked it! Needless to say, I am more and more alert with each passing day. There are plenty more new things I am doing, but I will tell you about them later and hopefully include some pictures. For now mommy needs to sleep so she can get up with me in the morning...

I almost forgot one of mommy's favorite things. I am a GREAT sleeper! I usually go to sleep around 10 pm and sleep until 8 am. I'm not sure what so many people find so fascinating about a baby sleeping, but I impress a lot of people with this fact. Sweet dreams!
