4 month check up

Today mommy took me to the doctor for my 4 month check up. He was very impressed by me as usual =). I now weigh over 16 pounds, almost double my birth weight. I am also over 2 feet tall now (25 1/2 inches). Both of these stats are in the 95th percentile for my age! My head circumference is now 16 1/2 which is in the 75th percentile. I like Dr. McGranahan. He always makes me smile. Today, however, after he left the room, mommy did not get me ready to go. We had to stay in the room until another nurse came in, and this one had needles! I had to get all the same shots I had when I was 2 months old! OUCH! I did not like getting the shots, but mommy held me as soon as the nurse was done, and I felt better very quickly. Assuming I stay helathy, I will not be back there until I am 6 months old!

Mommy thinks I will get a tooth in soon. There's nothing there yet, but I drool and slobber all the time, and I love to chew on almost anything I can get my hands on! Also, if it weren't for those pesky hands of mine, I would have rolled over by now. This morning, I rolled 3/4's of the way over only to be stopped by my arm under my side. Though I don't roll, I am scooting more than ever. I love to arch my back and push off with my arms and legs. I seldom stay on the blankets mommy lies out for me anymore. I also love to smile and laugh more than ever. Mommy and daddy say my laugh is the most beautful sound ever!

My friend Christiana is not feeling well. She is not quite 1 month old and is in the hospital right now. Please pray for her and her family.
