Vacation and baseball

Over Labor Day weekend, mommy and daddy decided to take a drive down to Tulsa, Oklahoma and visit Aunt Christy, Uncle Dan, Maddie, and Eric. Tulsa is about 6 hours from home, though it took us about 8 hours either way because of pit stops including a sit-down meal either way. Mommy decided if we were going to drive, we needed to leave early while I was still sleeping. I was grateful for this as I do like my sleep, and I can never sleep once the sun is visible. So, we left home a bit after 3 A.M. Saturday morning. I woke up to see what was going on when daddy placed me in the car, but thankfully for them, I decided to go back to sleep. I slept all the way to Springfield, Missouri, which is over half way there! Mommy and daddy were very pleased with me. On our way there we stopped in Claremore, Oklahoma so mommy could fulfill her inquiries of a town mentioned in Oklahoma! the musical as well as find out what the extreme hype over Will Rogers was all about. When we got to Aunt Christy's house, we were able to relax there for a while. Then we went to an aquarium which was very cool and had lots of colorful animals and plants for me to see. After our trip to the aquarium, we all went out to eat at Los Cabos. Mommy said their margaritas were the best she's ever had, but I wouldn't know, because no matter how hard I tried, she wouldn't let me try hers. Back at Aunt Christy's, we visited and played games until bedtime. Sunday morning mommy and daddy took me to a new church: St. Antony's Antiochian Orthodox Church in Tulsa. We all really enjoyed it there. Sunday evening, Uncle Dan barbecued chicken for dinner. Mommy and daddy said it was delicious, but I wouldn't know because all I got were carrots. Uncle Dan cooked lots of meals for mommy and daddy while we were there. He is an excellent cook! Sunday night Aunt Christy and Uncle Dan watched me while mommy and daddy went out for a night to themselves. I loved all the time I spent with Aunt Christy, Uncle Dan, Maddie, and Eric! We left for home late Monday morning and arrived around 6 P.M. I enjoyed the trip and behaved like a perfect angel! Here are some pictures from the vacation:

Yesterday I had another exciting adventure with mommy and daddy: My first Cardinals game! As always, I behaved like a perfect princess. I cheered right along with the other fans and didn't get startled by the noise at all! Here are some pictures from my first game:

Mommy was very excited for me!
The view from our seats in the Bank of America Club

So many people sat inside the club that we had plenty of space to open up my stroller giving me my own seat and vantage point of the game.

I stayed awake and playful through the middle of the 8th inning when I cuddled with mom for no more than a few minutes before falling asleep.

During the game, a squirrel ran across the outfield. Between innings they sent a guy onto the field to try to catch him. It was rather entertaining as the squirrel narrowly escaped into the Pirate's dugout.
The scoreboard showing the final score of 6 - 2. The Cardinals won my first game! I got to see a base clearing double by Chris Duncan, an RBI double by Rick Ankiel, and a homerun by Branyan.
