My 2 month doctor's appointment was last Tuesday (April 17th). Everything went well for the most part, at least until the doctor left. I now weigh 12 pounds, 4.5 ounces and am 23.5 inches tall. My growth chart is nothing short of perfect--even my doctor brags about my growth! After the doctor left our room, another nurse came in with many long needles. Mommy told me everything was all right, but I didn't like it one bit! The shots made me quite angry, and I was fussy for the next few days to let everyone know it. I've also had a tummy ache since Wednesday. Mommy has been giving me some syrup when I eat to help me go potty. I'm finally starting to feel a little better.
In other news, I had a really good weekend with mommy and daddy. We went down to Cape Girardeau to visit some of mommy's friends. I slept both the whole car ride there and the whole ride home. I met lots of new people while we were there too! Saturday Amy and Levi made us lunch when we got into town. Then Ms. Amy became mommy's favorite person in the whole world when she watched me Saturday night while mom and dad went out. I got to hang out at my first park at my first picnic Saturday too. I also stayed in my first hotel room. Here are a few pictures from our visit:
Hello family and friends! Sorry it has been so long since my last post; mommy, daddy, and I have been keeping VERY busy! The 'experts' all say it is impossible to spoil an infant, but everyone who knows me thinks otherwise. I am getting more cuddly every day. The past week I make mommy hold me all morning and afternoon. I love my time with mommy, and I've started smiling and 'talking' a lot to let her know how muh I enjoy my time with her. If she lies me down, however, I scream until she holds me again. How could anybody think I am spoiled?! Even though I take up all of her time, mommy says I'm worth it; I think she secretly enjoys the time even more than I do! The other day mommy and I had a monumental moment. Daddy was holding me in the chair while mommy sat on the couch a few feet away. I decided I wanted to be with mommy, and I began looking at her, smiling, and reaching for her. This was the first time I reached or showed any preference for one person, and mommy was quite ecstatic about it.
Since my last post, we have spent most of our time at church. I first went to church on Friday March 23rd for prayers with Fr. Tom, I was baptized on March 24, 2007, and slept through my first church service (Vespers) that same day. Sunday morning (the 25th) I experienced my first Liturgy and had my first communion. Everybody at church brags about my good behavior. I was particularly good throughout the entire baptism, though I was hungry the whole time also.
The website won't allow us to post more pictures right now, but I assure you more will be coming, beginning with my first communion and continuing through my first Pascha on April 8, 2007.
